Under the supervision of the authorities in Medina Baye, the Baytu Barham Foundation has started the 1st Phase of the construction of the "Dispensaire Cheikh Al Islam, EL Hadji Ibrahima Niass de Kossi".
As of April 15th, 2013

Le Chef de l’Etat a exprimé lors du Conseil des Ministres, sa très grande compassion, au regard des tueries intervenues entre Chrétiens et Musulmans dans le nord du Nigéria. Aussi, en sa qualité de Président en exercice de l’Organisation de la Conférence Islamique, il a décidé d’envoyer une mission de conciliation et de réconciliation, confiée au Khalif Général de Médina Baye, qui se rendra auprès des autorités nigérianes et des fidèles des deux confessions.
Le Président de la République s’est dit confiant quant à une issue heureuse de cette démarche, étant donné la forte influence et notoriété du vénéré Cheikh Ibrahima NIASSE dit Baye et de sa famille dans ce pays frère ; la confrérie Niassène y est en effet saluée pour les vertus de tolérance et de dialogue des religions qu’elle prône par l’exemple. A cette occasion, il a rappelé l’envoi d’une mission précédente de médiation au Nigéria, conduite par le Chef religieux Mahdi Niasse, qui avait réussi à éviter la lapidation d’une citoyenne de ce pays.
